Always a sucker for delving into depraved minds, debut writer and director Scott Walker’s fact-based serial-killer thriller THE FROZEN GROUND looks at psychopath Robert Hansen and is right up my street. The film has John Cusack playing against-type as the uncanny Hansen, whose sadistic human hunting methods became infamous for flying his victims to the Alaskan wilderness, setting them free, only to later stalk and shoot them like wild animals. Nicolas Cage is the Alaskan detective Glenn Flothe, who, with the help of Vanessa Hudgens’ hooker Cindy Paulsen (the only soul to survive) attempts to track down the sicko.
The terrific supporting cast also includes Dean Norris, Radha Mitchell, Kevin Dunn and Kurt Fuller. Although the name 50 f**king Cent has me worried. You can check out the first footage HERE. Expect the new trailer soon. It’s down for the 19th July in the UK, although that may change. No US date as yet.

With no idea what or who a “50 Cent” was, other than currency used in USA, I looked it up, and… it’s apparently some kind of a rapper. And that means I no longer look forward to this film.
