The brand new trailer for Warner Bros. new fast-paced thriller GETAWAY has pulled up. The film is directed by Courtney Solomon, whose most notable effort behind the camera was the terrible DUNGEONS & DRAGONS from way back in 2000! There is certainly a mix of THE TRANSPORTER and TAKEN going on. We’ve also added the teaser poster.
GETAWAY stars Ethan Hawke (currently being terrorised as the lead in impressive home-invasion horror THE PURGE) as a former racing car driver, who has to steal a stunning Shelby Cobra Mustang in a mysterious mission to save his wife from a ruthless kidnapper. However, things become a little more complicated when he’s forced to take young hacker and former Disney princess-turned-pop pixie, Selena Gomez, along for the ride (most probably to add some much needed totty alongside some hot, crushing car chases). Jon Voight, Rebecca Budig and Bruce Payne co-star in the film arriving in the US on 30th August and the UK on the 4th October.
Getaway is the gritty, heart-pounding action thriller from Warner Bros. Pictures and Dark Castle Entertainment in which former race car driver Brent Magna (Ethan Hawke) is pitted against the clock. Desperately trying to save the life of his kidnapped wife, Brent commandeers a custom Shelby Cobra Mustang, taking it and its unwitting owner (Selena Gomez) on a high-speed race against time, at the command of the mysterious villain holding his wife hostage.
