Even though its premiere date is quite far away, HBO have been very nice and showed us a sneak peek of HELLO LADIES, a new series starring Stephen Merchant. Yes, Merchant has broke from Ricky Gervais, and we finally get to see him take the limelight. The comedy will follow British man Stuart who heads to LA to try and find love in the city. It is loosely based on Merchant’s stand up show of the same name.
In the sneak peek, we see Merchant’s character Stuart and his best friend Wade (played by Nate Torrence) try and hit on two ladies at a bar. HBO have ordered eight episodes of the new series created by Merchant, and he also directed the first episode. THE OFFICE U.S. writers Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky also share writing duties.
If you are excited for the series, you might have to wait a little while, it is not premiering till 29th September! Either way, check out the preview below.
