Upcoming actress Kaitlyn Dever has joined the latest project from director Lynn Shelton – drama LAGGIES. The movie, which also has Sam Rockwell, Keira Knightley and Chloe Grace Moretz in the cast, is Shelton’s next feature after Sundance splash TOUCHY FEELY.
We don’t know too much about the movie just yet but it’s thought Knightley is set to play the main character stuck in permanent adolescence who lies about her whereabouts so she can spend extra time with her teenage friends (Dever and Moretz). Filming is taking place in Seattle.
Dever, who has a host of TV credits to her name including Modern Family and Curb Your Enthusiasm, has been a breakout star of the festival circuit this year with a role in Sundance favourite THE SPECTACULAR NOW. She can be seen next in SXSW hit SHORT TERM 12. Just last week news surfaced that she is in talks to join coming-of-age drama GRASS STAINS alongside fellow rising star Tye Sheridan. Still just 16 years of age, Dever looks set to have a long career ahead of her if she continues to join these promising projects!
