Despite all the excitement surrounding DC’s MAN OF STEEL, it’s important for other superheroes to remind us of their existence without seeming desperate. So, in that respect, THE WOLVERINE has done quite well at maintaining its presence in the public eye, without jumping up and down and screaming “LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME!”, as this latest black and white photo shows. THE WOLVERINE is just over a month away, and if I’m being honest, I’m really looking forward to it, much more so than MAN OF STEEL. I believe this could be the film to get Wolverine back on track after poor shows in X-MEN: THE LAST STAND and X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE. The little pic shows the muscly and veiny Hugh Jackman looking very serious and intimidating. The poster is also a simple but effective piece, as Jackman squares up against a sword wielding adversary.
THE WOLVERINE is released 26th July 2013. It stars Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee, Hiroyuki Sanada, Brian Tee, Rila Fukushima, Tao Okamato, and Svetlana Khodchenkova.
