The as-yet untitled up-coming project (previously known as LOOMIS FARGO) from director Jared Hess has announced it’s two leading men today. The comedy pairing of Owen Wilson and Jim Carrey will be teaming up for the heist flick; penned by Chris Bowman and Hubbel Palmer. Hess has tested the comedic waters with NAPOLEON DYNAMITE and NACHO LIBRE and this next project sees him working with two comedy greats who have never actually worked alongside each other before!
Here’s what we know about the plot so far: a disgruntled gun-wielding truck driver takes the chance of a lifetime and plans to rob $20 million from a bank vault to set him up for the life he’s always wanted. Unfortunately for him, once the deed is done, his fellow thieves turn on him leaving him stranded in Mexico while they enjoy the fruits of the heist. Sounds like someone is going to be brewing a plan to get even!
The film is one of two movies Carrey is slated to be starring in next year, after the sequel to DUMB and DUMBER fell into further trouble in it’s early stages.
