According to reports in The Wrap today it looks like the next home of THE TERMINATOR franchise is set to be one of Hollywood’s oldest studios, Paramount Pictures. The site reports that Annapurna and Skydance are negotiating with the studio to bring the next movie in the hit franchise to cinema screens. That would be a fifth movie in the franchise which started all of the way back in 1984 in the original, which was directed by James Cameron.
Patrick Lussier (DRIVE ANGRY) and Laeta Kalogridis (SHUTTER ISLAND) are writing the screenplay for the next movie, which could see the proper return of the original star, and indeed the Terminator himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
