Tom Hanks & Tom Tykwer Team Up Again For ‘A Hologram For The King’

Tom HanksWhile their last project CLOUD ATLAS was slightly ambitious (we might be under exaggerating with ‘slightly’ here)  it was announced today that Tom Hanks and Tom Tykwer will be joining up once again, this time for an adaptation of the Dave Eggers novel A HOLOGRAM FOR THE KING.

Eggers’ novel follows a failed American businessman who travels to an up-and-coming Saudi Arabian city in a last chance for success, which is also his last hope of keeping his family together. Tykwer adapted the novel, even though Eggers has worked on screenplays in the past (most notably Spike Jonze’s WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE).

While the film has directors and producers attached, there is no studio currently behind it. So it might be a while before we see it on our screens (boo!)
