Luc Besson’s latest thriller is set to get even more awesome as it was announced that Morgan Freeman is in talks to join the cast in a pivotal role for the film LUCY. If he joins he will be starring alongside Scarlett Johansson, who will be playing the title role.
The film follows a young woman who is forced to become a drug mule, but instead of just carrying the drug it enters her blood stream and gives her powers, making it easy for her to absorb information, use telekenesis and be able to see into the future. If he gets the role, Freeman would be playing a professor with extensive knowledge of human development. Lucy tries to track down the professor to help her before she dies.
Besson is wasting no time moving on to his next project, as his latest feature THE FAMILY (changed from the original name MALAVITA) recently debuted its trailer. It stars Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Dianna Agron and Tommy Lee Jones.
