Logans-run-movie

Ken Levine, the creator of one of the most popular video games every, Bioshock, has been hired by Warner Brothers to take on their script for the updated version of LOGAN’S RUN. The long-awaited remake of the 1976 Michael York starrer, which itself was based on an earlier book by William F. Nolan and George Clayton John.

The story revolves around a dystopian society set in the year 2116 where all people must be willingly executed at the age of 21 as a means of population control. Bit harsh…

There has been tons of people attached to this project, including Bryan Singer, and more recently Nicolas Winding Refn (DRIVE). None of those folk are now involved, but perhaps Levine is the shot in the arm which this highly regarded reboot needs.

We’ll keep you posted on more on this hotly anticipated movie as we get it.
