The first US trailer has arrived for post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller THE COLONY, which stars Laurence Fishburne, Bill Paxton and Kevin Zegers. Jeff Renfroe co-wrote and directed the film which is currently awaiting confirmed UK date but hits the US 23rd August.
The futuristic film is set during the next ice age, as a scattering of outpost colonists struggle to survive below the world’s frozen surface. They’re running seriously short on food supplies, leading to illness and internal conflict. After losing contact with Colony 5, Colony 7’s leader Briggs (Laurence Fishburne) decides to lead an expedition to uncover the reasons, however, his team discover a threat much worse than nature and must battle to save themselves and protect their fellow colonists in what could be humanity’s last stand.
