THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 is certainly creating a web (sorry!) of confusion and rumours, especially in terms of casting and characters. Only last week we reported that Shailene Woodley, originally cast as Mary Jane, was to be replaced by newbie Sarah Gadon, mostly due to scheduling issues (other sources claimed that the recasting had something to do with keeping hardcore fans happy). Whatever the reason may be, there is still a whole team of actors/actresses involved, clinging onto their characters for dear life.
One said actor/actress is Felicity Jones. UK-native Jones is rumored to play Felicia Hardy aka Black Cat and, staying coy as ever, she didn’t have much to say:
“It’s TOP secret. I can tell you that she’s sort of on the baddie’s side, but I can’t explain much more than that. Just the scale was incredible. It’s a different challenge to be on an enormous set, surrounded by hundreds of extras, as opposed to just being 20 people in the room.”
Directed by Marc Webb, THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan and Paul Giamatti. It is scheduled for a UK release from 18th April 2014, with the US release slightly later on 2nd May.
