Ah, Kristen Bell, you delightful temptress. Not content with helping to run one hell of an outstanding VERONICA MARS Kickstarter campaign, she’ll also be found this summer taking on the role of THE LIFEGUARD in Liz W. Garcia’s comedy-drama.
As a former top-grade graduate, her story is a simple one as she decides to quit her journalism job in New York and return to her childhood home in Connecticut to try to ‘find herself’ again. There, she finds work as a lifeguard and begins a rather questionable relationship with a troubled teenager. What that connection in Connecticut is at this stage, we don’t know, but writer and director Liz W Garcia also worked on TV Series ‘Cold Case‘ and a little bit of ‘Dawson’s Creek‘ back in the day.
We are expecting something quite interesting and what a lead to go aside Mamie Gummer (The Good Wife) and Martin Starr (THIS IS THE END). We’ll be keeping an eye for sure and for all the right reasons, here’s that rather great little poster:
THE LIFEGUARD is released in the US on August 30th, and we’ll let you know of other release dates as and when!
