New Production Video Blog For ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug’

Again, not wanting to disappoint both his own fans, as well as those of Middle-earth storyteller J.R.R. Tolkein, director Peter Jackson has released a new production video blog for the forthcoming sequel, THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG. Standard, extensive reshoots and pick-up shots are currently underway in New Zealand for both remaining films (THE HOBBIT: THERE & BACK AGAIN will arrive Christmas 2014). Jackson also confirmed in the blog that the first sequel to last years opening LORD OF THE RINGS prequel, will not be showcased at this years Comic Con, as many believed.

THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG is released on the 13th December and stars returnees Martin Freeman, Richard Armitage, James Nesbitt, Ken Stott, Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen, Cate Blanchett, Ian Holm, Aiden Turner, Hugo Weaving and Andy Serkis.
