Brian DePalma’s Seductive Thriller ‘Passion’ Unveils New Trailer

Legendary and pretty darn consistent director Brian De Palma has a string on iconic titles on his resumé, yet it’s been 6 years since his last meaningful big-screen effort. The man who brought us genuine classics, CARRIE, SCARFACE, THE UNTOUCHABLES and CARLITO’S WAY will next bring us dark seductive workplace thriller PASSION. The film features beauties Rachel McAdams and Noomi Rapace as business rivals in the remake to French thriller CRIME D’AMOUR (aka LOVE CRIME). The official plot synopsis is as follows:

Passion tells the story of a deadly power struggle between two women in the dog-eat-dog world of international business. Christine (McAdams) possesses the natural elegance and casual ease associated with one who has a healthy relationship with money and power. Innocent, lovely, and easily exploited, her admiring protégé, Isabelle (Rapace), is full of cutting-edge ideas that Christine has no qualms about stealing. They’re on the same team, after all… But when Isabelle falls into bed with one of Christine’s lovers, war breaks out.

Karoline Herfurth and Paul Anderson co-star in the devious erotic thriller available on VOD in the US 1st August and cinemas 30th August. Still no word on a UK date. Check out this latest trailer with a giallo-like feel!
