Guardians Of The Galaxy Villains Confirmed?

It’s finally here. We knew the three main members of the cast of GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY were Benicio del Toro, Karen Gillan and Lee Pace, and now we have a character list.

As we suspected, Benicio del Toro is going to play The Collector, one of the oldest characters from Marvel’s universe at over a billion years old. He has some powers to see into the future, and he was the one who foresaw the coming of Thanos, who we were introduced to at the end of AVENGERS ASSEMBLE.

Lee Pace will be playing Ronan The Accuser, who appears in the ‘Fantastic Four’ comics. He’s a member of the alien race, Kree, has several superhuman powers, and whilst he’s typically seen as a Marvel villain, he does have a more heroic side.

And finally, Karen Gillan, Amy Pond herself, will be playing the villain Nebula, a space pirate who claims to be the granddaughter of Thanos.

Stay tuned for a full cast list to be announced at Comic-Con. GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY has already started filming in the UK, with a 2014 release date.
