In what promises to be an epic action-thriller in its own right, Neill Blomkamp’s ELYSIUM will now also be opening in IMAX across the world at the same time. I’ve not really been that subtle about my hope and excitement for this sci-fi since it was announced and early rumours of clips and snippets have so far been rather positive.
It stars Matt Damon and Jodie Foster and Rory Bruer, the president of Worldwide Distribution for Sony Pictures, had this to say about the screenings:
“Elysium is one of the most highly anticipated films of the summer, so we’re pleased that audiences will have the chance to see Neill Blomkamp’s vision for the future in IMAX’s immersive format.”
