Hugh Jackman Wants Wolverine To Join ‘The Avengers’

One of the biggest names in Hollywood at the moment, as well as the comic-book world is Marvel, and despite being 100% owned by Disney, some of their properties are still scattered all over the place in terms of rights. For example,  Sony owns the rights to Spider-man, while Fox owns X-MEN (plus its spin-off flicks), and Fantastic Four.

The big question on everyone’s lips is; could Wolverine or any of the X-Men, and of course Spidey,  ever end up in a Disney owned movie, like for example THE AVENGERS, just like in the comic books? Well, it looks like the answer is…. possibly. On the promo trailer for THE WOLVERINE (a film which THN gets to see next week), Hugh Jackman was speaking about said possibility to Collider.

“You’ve got three studios, just split it three ways in terms of the cost, and happy days, it’s all coming together. I’m in for it, I’m totally up for it because I think that would be really exciting for fans.”

He went on:

“I asked the same question the other day to Tom from Marvel who works with all the other studios, he works with Sony and Fox, that’s his job to liaise. I said, ‘Can this happen?’ and he goes ‘Look, it’s not gonna be easy.’ But I’m optimistic, I find it impossible that there’s not a way to bring Iron Man, all the Avengers characters, Wolverine, the X-Men characters, Spider-Man, and somehow get them together.”

Ergh, nerd boner! How about that? How frickin’ awesome is that? Well, we’re excited.

Seeing my two favorite superheroes Wolvie and Spidey exchanging quips on screen like they do in the comics would be orgasmic!

After 7 movies, it looks like Hugh Jackman is not tired of the character yet…
