This Is Amazing! ‘How To Train Your Dragon 2’ Teaser Swoops In

Heads up! The first teaser for HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2 has swooped in. Like all great teasers, it tells us nothing of the plots but wets our appetites for the look and feel of the film. And it looks glorious.

Allow us to fill you in, story wise. Set five years after the first film, we join Hiccup and his loyal dragon Toothless in a new world where man and fire-breathers live harmoniously. Astrid and the rest of the gang now compete in the new contact sport of dragon racing and all is well. That is until Our heroes branch out of their known surroundings to find an mysterious ice cave and the wild beasts who dwell within…

Frankly, it looks and sounds bloody adorable. The 2010 original surprised everyone with just how good it was with writing and animation that, no doubt, had Pixar raising their eyebrows. The sequel has a lot to live up to, but considering the teaser’s flight sequence is more convincing than that in MAN OF STEEL, I think we could be onto a winner here.

HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2 is directed by Dean DeBlois with a returning cast including Jay Baruchel, America Ferrera, Gerard Butler, Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill and Craig Ferguson. It flies into cinemas next year, 20th June USA and 4th July UK.

“Wet” and “whet” are two different words.
