Well it seems as though another alumni of the KICK-ASS franchise, is to jump aboard the X-MEN universe. like Matthew Vaughan before him, KICK-ASS 2 director Jeff Wadlow is set to write the script for the earlier rumoured X-FORCE film. Yesterday we reported that 20th Century Fox are expected to announce an expansion of their X-MEN world by introducing an X-FORCE movie, that would see a different band of characters.
Not surprising given the hit that was THE AVENGERS and the rumoured JUSTICE LEAGUE in the works. Creator of X-FORCE, Rob Liefeld, issued a statement confirming that the property has been in the works since March of this year and Wadlow will script and may direct. No doubt we’ll be getting an official announcement at Comic Con. The X-MEN series continues to go strong with THE WOLVERINE out later this month and X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST coming out next year.
