Here is the first UK teaser trailer for MANDELA: LONG WALK TO FREEDOM starring Idris Elba. It’s quite a literal clip, with Madiba taking a nice long walk while Elba’s regal narration is as moving as it is accurate (He’s actually doing the voice, whereas Morgan Freeman couldn’t be arsed).

Adapted from the great man’s 1994 book of the same name, LONG WALK TO FREEDOM is written by William Nicholson and directed by Justin Chadwick. It stars Idris Elba and Naomi Harris as Nelson and Winnie Mandela. It hits UK cinemas on 3rd January 2014 but gets a limited release in the US on 29th November.
