Not content with settling for one or two constant and continual events, it’s now been announced that Future Cinema, the creators of Secret Cinema, have got another special event on the way and THN are massive favourites of this one: DIRTY DANCING.
Following on from their sold out outdoor screenings of GREASE last Summer (Our report here), Future Cinema, the creators of Secret Cinema, will transport audiences back to Kellerman’s holiday resort set in the Summer of ’63, bringing one of the most loved movies of all time to life for one weekend only from August 30th to September 1st.
Future Cinema will transform a secret outdoor location into Kellerman’s Mountain House, where audiences will be invited to join Baby and Johnny for a mass dance-along to the most iconic dance scenes in cinema history.
Last year, Future Cinema revived GREASE to an audience of over 9,000 T-Birds and Pink Ladies, recreating the vibrancy of Southern California in the fields of Barnes Common, including mass sing-a-longs to ‘Summer Loving’, a fun fair, cheerleaders, rock n roll bands, 50s jives and late night dance parties, reuniting young and old Grease fans for the dance-off of the year.
