Apparently not satisfied with playing Superman’s adoptive father in summer super hit, MAN OF STEEL, Kevin Costner is in negotiations for another father figure.
The Oscar winner is currently eyeing Guillermo del Toro’s MIDNIGHT DELIVERY, with a script from Neil Cross – the man behind MAMA and creator of LUTHER, featuring current PACIFIC RIM-starrer, Idris Elba. A far cry from Clark Kent and Smallville, MIDNIGHT DELIVERY would see Costner turn to the dark world of drugs in order to save his son.
The actor’s slate is looking pretty full at the moment, with Kenneth Branagh’s JACK RYAN, Ivan Reitman’s DRAFT DAY and projects for McG and Mike Binder in the pipeline. Though GAME OF THRONES (and LUTHER) director Brian Kirk’s name has been banded about in regards to directorial duties, MIDNIGHT DELIVERY is currently without a confirmed director.
