Community’s Gillian Jacobs has joined the cast of BLACK AND WHITE where she will join co-stars Kevin Costner, Octavia Spencer and Jennifer Ehle in a dramatic custody fight. Jacob’s will play the girlfriend of Costner’s best friend (Bill Burr) and watch the drama unfold as Costner fights for custody of the granddaughter he helped raise when his wife dies and her grandmother (Octavia Spencer) wants custody to go to her drug addicted father. Mike Binder (THE UPSIDE OF ANGER) has written the script and will also be directing the project.
Jacobs, who had a few minor roles before she landed the role of Britta in Community, has been keeping busy when she isn’t filming the the NBC comedy show. Already lined up for upcoming release are comedy WALK OF SHAME co-starring Elizabeth Banks and James Marsden, crime thriller THE LOOKALIKE with Justin Long and Jerry O’Connell and the sequel to 2010 comedy HOT TUB TIME MACHINE which also sees stars Adam Scott, Chevy Chase, Clark Duke and Craig Robinson return.
Production is already underway on the film with a 2014 release date expected.
