Updated: We’re hearing via Brendon at Bleeding Cool that the story is by Zack Snyder and David S. Goyer, with Goyer about to commence work on the script very soon. The film will be based (loosely) on Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns. Read more about it here.

It’s been officially said this is the follow-up to the awesome MAN OF STEEL and what way to bring THE DARK KNIGHT back to the big screen after Nolan’s unforgettable trilogy. The thing is, most interestingly, what will this mean for Christopher Nolan’s input and most importantly…Christian Bale?
