THE FAULT IN OUR STARS starts production in a couple of weeks time and to get us even more excited than we already are, they have announced who will be joining Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort.
After revealing that he was being considered for a role, Nat Wolff will be playing Isaac, making it the second time that he has worked with director Josh Boone (the first time being STUCK IN LOVE). But the most interesting and quite surprising of the casting news has to be Laura Dern. Best known for her roles in JURASSIC PARK, BLUE VELVET and RAMBLING ROSE, she will be playing the role of Hazel’s mum. There’s still no word on who will be playing Hazel’s dad, but the fan favourite seems to be the actual author of THE FAULT IN OUR STARS John Green.
THE FAULT IN OUR STARS tells the story of a young cancer patient named Hazel Lancaster (Woodley) who is forced to attend a support group. It is there where she meets and falls in love with 17-year-old amputee Augustus Waters. The film is written by (500) DAYS OF SUMMER screenwriters Scott Neustadter & Michael H. Weber.
