It looks like Fox have finally found their Frankenstein! It was revealed today that James McAvoy has been offered the role of Victor Von Frankenstein in Fox’s latest adaptation of the popular book by Mary Shelley. Daniel Radcliffe is already signed up to the project as Igor.
As we previously reported, BOARDWALK EMPIRE’s Jack Huston and Toby Kebbell had test screened for the role, but it looks like that talented Scottish so-and-so beat them all to it and a deal is currently under way. Of course, McAvoy is a friendly face at Fox Studios, what with being in X-MEN and all.
If you have been living under a rock the last few hundred years, FRANKENSTEIN tells the story of an eccentric scientist named Victor Frankenstein as he creates a grotesque creature in an unorthodox science experiment. In this adaptation, the story will be told from Igor’s point of view. The script is written by Max Landis, while the film will be directed by Paul McGuigan.
