Peter Jackson Blogs From ‘The Hobbit’s’ Final Day of Production

Peter Jackson to direct Doctor Who

Sad times for fans of LORD OF THE RINGS as Peter Jackson blogs from his final day of production on the THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY in Wellington, New Zealand. He writes:

‘Ever since starting these blogs, there’s been something I thought I’d like to try one day (as well as answering the other 19 questions I owe you!) – blogging throughout a shoot day in real time. Try to give you all a feeling for what we deal with on an average day. Today is not exactly “average”, given it’s our last day of shooting, but if I don’t do it today, I never will!’

This might be the final day of production but fans don’t have to wait too long for THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG to be released in cinemas in the UK on 13th December 2013, followed by the conclusion to the trilogy, THE HOBBIT: THERE AND BACK AGAIN, which will be out a year later on 17th December 2014.

“his final day of production on the THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY”… Uh, yeah, An Unexpected Journey was the first episode released 7 months ago, so production on this one’s been over for quite a while now.
