X ‘X-Men’ Spin-offs?

x_men_

You read it right, Fox are planning an all encompassing, and possibly world dominating TEN X-Men spin-offs.

Well, maybe.

Speaking in an interview Mark Millar, consultant for Fox’s Marvel properties, stated he believes THE WOLVERINE won’t be the only spin-off with eyes set on a number of possible stories:

Marvel sold the X-Men franchises off to Fox back in the ’90s when they had the cash, but you have to remember that they were the crown jewels,” he said. “The reason they got snapped up is because they were Marvel’s biggest selling books for twenty years. So you’re sitting on a gold mine there. I think there’s a good five to ten golden franchises in there.

Could be five, could be ten, could be none if critical reaction to THE WOLVERINE continues to be unfairly derisive of its want for character and action. With X-FORCE and DEADPOOL movies apparently in the works, and Mr. Millar’s specific job title it certainly appears Fox are balls-deep in the X-Men. So, is this X-citing times ahead for fans, or is this a case of too many X-Men spoiling the broth? Let us know your thoughts.

Sam is a bloody lovely lad born and raised in Bristol (he’s still there and can’t escape). Favourite films include THE LOST BOYS, DRIVE, FIGHT CLUB and COMMANDO, well pretty much any 1980s Arnie film you can throw his way…even RED SONJA. Sam once cancelled a Total Film subscription after they slagged off Teen Wolf. He resubscribed 2 days later.
