Katniss Takes A Seat In Latest ‘Catching Fire’ Still

It’s been a while since we had anything to report on the forthcoming sequel to the dystopian hit THE HUNGER GAMES. However, a brand new (and rather uninspiring) still featuring Oscar-winning lead Jennifer Lawrence as the bow-carrying heroine Katniss Everdeen has surfaced, so we thought we’d share with our faithful followers.

I AM LEGEND and WATER FOR ELEPHANTS’ Francis Lawrence takes over the departed Gary Ross on directing duties for the follow-up, THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE. It sees Katniss and fellow surviving contestant Peeta Mellark returning home safe after their harrowing experience in the 74th Annual event. However, their ‘winning’ means that they’re swiftly whisked away, leaving friends and family, to embark on a Victor’s Tour of the districts. With Katniss sensing the undercurrent of rebellion simmering, the Capitol’s President Snow prepares his payback with the 75th Annual Hunger Games (known as The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
