Trailer For ‘Her’ Starring Joaquin Phoenix & His Computer

Imagine a film based around a man who falls in love with his computer. Sounds strange, right? Well, the new project directed by Spike Jonze (BEING JOHN MALKOVICH, WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE) may not be so ‘out there’ after all.

Starring Joaquin Phoenix (WALK THE LINE) as Theodore Twombly, HER follows this newly-single man has he develops a relationship with his computer, Samantha (voiced by Scarlett Johansson). Samantha is part of a highly developed, sophisticated operating system allowing people to actually interact with the hardware. As Theodore starts to come to terms with his break-up, he starts to realize all of life’s possibilities.

Co-starring Amy Adams as Theo’s friend and Rooney Mara as his ex, HER looks magnificent. Although the premise is a little off, I think Jonze has got the tone and humour just right. I can’t wait to see this!

HER will be released in US cinemas from 20th November.
