Things are getting a whole lot busier for Vin Diesel. He has a healthy action franchise in the FAST & FURIOUS, a nearing return to the character that made him a star with RIDDICK and of course, he’s now part of the Marvel stable thanks to confirmed voiceover work on James Gunn’s GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY. That’s also not forgetting supernatural thriller THE LAST WITCHHUNTER, also in-development.
However, we’re now hearing Diesel is adding another potential sci-fi franchise after teaming up with Universal Pictures to star and produce SOLDIERS OF THE SUN. It has script from Arash Amel set in a post-apocalyptic future landscape and follows a legion of troops having to battle with alien race of ‘Orcs’ as they seek out the mystical City Of Gold in Mexico.
