If new Internet rumours are anything to go by, it looks like we might have found Hazel’s dad for THE FAULT IN OUR STARS movie. Sam Trammell, better known for playing Sam Merlotte on HBO’s True Blood, is reportedly being eyed up for the role in Josh Boone’s latest project.
Shailene Woodley will be playing the role of a cancer-stricken teenage girl named Hazel Lancaster who falls in love with another cancer patient at a support group. Ansel Elgort will take on the role as Hazel’s love interest, Augustus Waters.
Filming for the movie adaptation of John Green’s novel will start soon, with Woodley gearing up to cut off her hair for the role. Her haircut has inspired a charity campaign called #hairforhazel where fans are cutting their hair to donate to cancer patients who cannot afford wigs.
