Joseph Kosinski Heading To ‘The Twilight Zone’

OBLIVION and TRON: LEGACY helmer Joseph Kosinski is today being linked to a new big-screen version of THE TWILIGHT ZONE. The word on the street is that Kosinski is heading to Warner Bros. for the project, which is being produced by Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way production company.

The original TV show, created by Rod Serling, ran for 156 episodes and aired in the United States and around the world from 1959 to 1964. Serling wrote and directed over half of those episodes, and well known actors and future stars such as Buster Keaton, Burgess Meredith, William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, Robert Duvall, Burt Reynolds, Dennis Hopper and Robert Redford all appeared in various episodes.

The series was adapted into a 1983 feature film, which was directed by John Landis, Steven Spielberg, Joe Dante and George Miller.

Jason Rothenberg, Anthony Peckham and Joby Harold are writing the screenplay for the new movie. DiCaprio will co-produce.

No cast are as yet attached.
