Big news coming out of Hollywood this afternoon… it looks like Legendary’s big SEVENTH SON will be moving studios after Warner Brothers parted ways with them earlier last month. Now, the Jeff Bridges sword-and-sorcery epic will move to Universal, which is great, but they have not set any kind of release date for the film. We saw some great footage from the film at last month’s San Diego Comic Con, and can’t wait to see what Legendary and director Sergey Bodrov have brought to the table and see the film in its full form.

SEVENTH SON Was set to debut at US cinemas in January and the UK in February, but who knows now that Universal have taken control.

The word over at Variety is that WB will still hold on to fellow Legendary titles GODZILLA and 300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE, two other high-profile 2014 release, but Universal are potentially looking at movie versions of WARCRAFT, MASS EFFECT, and HOT WHEELS, based on the classic toys of the same name, as well as a movie named CYBER, Michael Mann’s next project that stars Chris Hemsworth.

We’ll bring you more news as and when.
