The soon to be released Blu-ray of IRON MAN 3 will contain a new ‘Marvel One-Shot’ short following British operative Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell). These ‘One-Shots’ have accompanied the home release of each Marvel Studios film as humorous but action-packed insights into the side characters of the Marvel Universe, away from the glitz and glamour of the Iron Man and Captain Americas of its world and it’s great to see Peggy Carter, last seen bidding a tearful farewell to Cap in CAPTAIN AMERICA: WINTER SOLDIER, hasn’t been completely left behind.
The short will see Agent Carter join a newly formed organisation called S.H.I.E.L.D as she searches for “the Zodiac key” and battles her new boss, Agent Flynn (Bradley Whitford) who doesn’t believe women exactly fit in with the spy business. Not everything is on show right away in the clip below, but we at least get to see Agent Carter in action so check it out!
With the Marvel film continuity kicked it high gear and the upcoming S.H.I.E.L.D television show on the way these shorts do a great job a quickly showing us unexplored areas of the universe with characters we don’t always expect to see again.
IRON MAN 3 will be available on 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD on 24th September.
