Korean Action Comedy ‘The Spy’ Trailer

Spies and comedies have made surprisingly decent bedfellows over the years, so why get in the way of a working relationship? THE SPY sees a spy (of course) having strain put on his marriage thanks to his globetrotting and explosive antics. When a mysterious stranger catches his wife’s eye it’s (as the trailer puts it) his country or his wife. It looks as though many comical misunderstandings and slapstick is on the cards, which certainly seems to hit more than it misses. I guess the real problem could be if the wife is portrayed as completely unreasonable and unlikable.

THE SPY receives a release in South Korea on 20th September. It stars Sul Kyung Gu, Moon So Ri, and Daniel P. Henney.
