‘The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug’ Trailer (In Lego)

Here’s a trailer from some guys really trying to make something of themselves…HAHAHA! It’s the trailer for upcoming Middle-Earth set sequel THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG, in glorious Legovision. Animated by Kevin Ulrich, the trailer takes the sound of the original and recreates some truly dramatic moments. The humour comes in the visual and awkward movement of the Lego characters. Seeing the elves trying to use a bow and arrow fluidly raises quite the chuckle.

It’s a cute little piece that shows us that perhaps Peter Jackson’s big special effects aren’t as necessary as the music, acting, and story. The Tolkien adventures continue this December, but those of you really hankering for extended Lego goodness, you’ll get exactly that with THE LEGO MOVIE next year.

THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG is released on the 13th December and stars returnees Martin Freeman, Richard Armitage, James Nesbitt, Ken Stott, Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen, Cate Blanchett, Ian Holm, Aiden Turner, Hugo Weaving and Andy Serkis.
