‘Pirates Of The Caribbean 5’ Gets Official Title

KON TIKI directors, Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg will be throwing their talents into the blockbuster pool of 2015 by directing the fifth installment in Disney’s PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN franchise and we now know the official name of the film. Johnny Depp, after finishing up a couple of other projects which includes another film for Disney, INTO THE WOODS, will return as Captain Jack Sparrow in PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES.

Standard procedure for the action-adventure franchise, then. With previous titles alluding to dead men’s chests and the curses of black pearls, the next film seems to be hinting someone will be hunting Jack Sparrow down. We’ll have to wait for more detailed story information but judging from what the directing duo told This Is Infamous, the next film will be both a standalone adventure that will still tie into the mythos of the franchise.

Are we looking at makes of another trilogy? We shall see on 25th July 2015.
