See Michael Rooker Go Blue As ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’s Yondu!

With recent confirmed additions to Marvel’s intergalactic adventure GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY (Vin Diesel voicing GrootGregg Henry heading to the UK set and Bradley Cooper almost nailed as the tones behind Rocket Raccon) things couldn’t be better for the studios riskiest project yet. The early footage at Comic Con looked absolutely superb and Chris Pratt, who plays the main character Peter Quill a.k.a Star Lord in the James Gunn-directed pic, is surely destined for superstar status!

Production is well underway here in the UK’s Shepperton Studios and following the recent batch of set stills, we’ve the first look at Gunn regular Michael Rooker on-set as the alien outlaw Yondu and ‘pal’ to Peter Quill. You can find a host more over at SuperheroHype.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
