alien-1979-01

We already know Ridley Scott’s biblical epic EXODUS has Christian Bale as the Red Sea-parting Moses and Joel Edgerton playing nemesis Ramses. Now the supporting cast is being assembled and we can confirm Sigourney Weaver will reunite with Scott for the first time since his groundbreaking sci-fi classic ALIEN. BREAKING BAD’s increasingly popular Aaron Paul and veteran character actor John Turturro are also included.

The film is being developed at 20th Century Fox film from a script by Oscar-winning screenwriter Steve Zallian, who adapted a previous draft by Adam Cooper and Bill Collage. It will centre on the story of the bearded prophet who led the Israelites out of Egypt into the Promised Land. EXODUS is set to hit theaters on 12th December 2014 an begins filming in January.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
