Floppy-haired director Andrew Adamson has another crack at the film game since both of his CHRONICLES OF NARNIA films graced (or cursed) the big screen, and what better way than to introduce long-time TV star Hugh Laurie to the frame.
The comedian turned cynical doctor now turns his acting chops to that of teacher as he plays the role of Mr. Watts. It follows his attempts to shield his students – in particular, one curious girl, young Pip – from the civil war afflicting their Bougainville Island during the early 1990’s. He gives them solace through the reading of Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations. How delightfully quaint.
With a stunning backdrop and a bittersweet tale of lost innocence, Mr. Pip promises to please:
