‘Ant-Man’ Release Date Moves Forward To Summer 2015

Ant-Man Test Footage2015 already looks like a number of huge blockbusters jostling for space in an increasingly packed blockbuster season, and now Marvel’s first Phase 3 film is about to make it even more packed. ANT-MAN, which was originally slated for a 6th November 2015 release date has been pulled all the way up to 31st July 2015. This puts it just two weeks after the release of Warner Bros. BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN, but moves it out of JAMES BOND 24’s line of fire.

It’s suggested that Disney have moved the release date so as to give a winter season slot to STAR WARS EPISODE VII. However, it also means that Disney have crammed in summer releases with the likes of PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 5, Pixar’s INSIDE OUT, and THE AVENGERS: THE AGE OF ULTRON.  I’m still yet to be impressed by an Edgar Wright film, who will be directing ANT-MAN, but I’m willing to give it a chance thanks to the awesomeness of Marvel films in general.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
