It’s only nearly bloomin’ here. In just over two months we’ll be celebrating the spectacular half-century of Doctor Who, one of the greatest and and most creative shows to have ever existed. The BBC recently announced their full list of Doctor Who related programming, as well as an entire convention in London to celebrate the awesomeness of time travel and timelords. However, the biggest of the bunch is the return of David Tennant in the role of The Doctor for the 50th anniversary special, titled ‘The Day Of The Doctor’, which will also be Matt Smith’s penultimate episode before handing things over to Peter Capaldi.
Exact details about the feature length episode that will air on 23rd November 2013 are being kept wrapped up, but we do know it will involved John Hurt’s iteration of The Doctor. Fan speculation has gone bananas over how this new Doctor will fit into place and fortunately we’ll all find out at the same time, as the BBC are simulcasting in 200 countries.
