Marvel Studios’ IRON MAN 3 has just been released on DVD and Blu-ray here in the UK and will be hitting US stores on September 24th. To mark the occasion, Marvel have created an app for iOS devices that brings Tony Stark’s helpful AI computer JARVIS into the palm of your hand. Think of him as HAL’s much nicer brother, more interested in assisting you with whatever you’re doing than refusing to open the pod bay doors.
Paul Bettany, who has voiced the character in all 3 IRON MAN films plus AVENGERS ASSEMBLE has recorded over 20 hours of new content for the app, which allows viewers of the Blu-ray film to access extra features while watching, shows the local weather forecast and can be used as an alarm clock. What’s cooler is that the app is voice-controlled, the first second-screen experience to have this feature. It is as of yet unknown whether the app will instruct you on building flight-enabling repulsors.
The IRON MAN 3 Blu-ray will also exclusively feature the Marvel ‘One-Shot’ short film ‘Agent Carter’, which has British actress Hayley Atwell reprising her role from CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER.
IRON MAN 3 is directed by Shane Black and stars Robert Downey Jr, Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce and Sir Ben Kingsley. It is out now in the UK and will be released on 24th September in the US.
