‘Night At The Museum 3’ To Begin Production Early 2014

Night At The Museum

The first two NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM films (released in 2006 and 2009) were undoubtedly enjoyable family romps and with the success of the franchise so far it comes as no surprise that a third film is in development.

Ben Stiller will once again return as the museum security guard Larry Daley and Shawn Levy will return behind the camera to direct the third installment. The plot of the original film revolved around Daley, a hopeless divorced father who starts working as a security guard in a museum where all the exhibits come to life at night. The sequel then expanded on the initial premise and took place at the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, DC.

Filming will begin for NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM 3 from February 2014 in Vancouver and London for a 25th December 2014 release date. At the moment no other cast members have been announced but expect that to change very soon, with production commencing in the coming months. With the previous film’s cast members consisting of Owen Wilson, Steve Coogan, Ricky Gervais and Robin Williams, it’ll be interesting to see which of them return for the third helping, although it shouldn’t come as a surprise if most of them reprise their roles.

As always we’ll keep you posted.
