It’s third time lucky for Universal’s upcoming tale of the ultimate vampire. Previously called DRACULA: YEAR ZERO, before becoming just DRACULA, will now be known as DRACULA UNTOLD. The ‘Untold’ let’s us know that this is a story we are not familiar with. It will follow Dracula before he becomes a vampire, and no doubt we’ll find out he wasn’t always so bad.
I don’t see anybody clamoring for more Dracula films, but if they can do something original then why not? Hopefully Luke Evans, in the lead role, will be able to explore the character in new and interesting ways.
DRACULA UNTOLD is to be released 3rd October 2014. It stars Luke Evans, Sarah Gadon, Dominic Cooper, Zach McGowan, Samantha Barks, Thor Kristjansson and Art Parkinson.
