I’m far from being a fashion connoisseur but I do love a good documentary and from this trailer and first poster, I’m very interested to see what they’ve got to offer here. I’m told that MADEMOISELLE C is a pretty important lady in that world. The ‘C’ stands for Carine Roitfeld, the Vogue Paris editor-in-chief and fashion stylist.
This documentary follows her as she moves to New York to launch her own magazine. It’s full of famous fashion people and I guess the only danger would be whether it can find the fine line between self-indulgence – of which fashion is an undoubted addict – or if it actually delves in and finds something interesting. In other words, will they find the perfect exploration of an art form like they did in MARINA ABRAMOVIC: THE ARTIST IS PRESENT (Five-star review here) or will it be a fashion faux pas?
