Trailer For Franco & Statham’s ‘Homefront’

Yesterday we got to show off some stills and a poster for the latest entry into Jason Statham’s action catalogue, HOMEFRONT. Statham stars as an ex-DEA agent who moves with his daughter to a small town. After his daughter kicks some bully behind at school, the father and daughter duo find themselves at the centre of a town with a grudge. Unfortuantely, this town is watched over by a meth drug lord in the form of James Franco.

Despite Franco’s involvement as the villain, and two strong female leads in Winona Ryder and Kate Bosworth, this looks like your typical Statham movie. It doesn’t help that Franco’s character is named Gator, which only reminds me of Will Ferrell’s turn in THE OTHER GUYS. Written by Sylvester Stallone, we can hope for some good old fashioned action goodness, and it does have a strong vibe of the 1980s running through it.

HOMEFRONT is released on the 27th November in the US and 29th November in the UK. It stars Jason Statham, James Franco, Winona Ryder, Kate Bosworth, and Rachel Lefevre.
