‘The Last Light: An Irish Ghost Story’ Acquired By Eagle One Media

THE LAST LIGHT: AN IRISH GHOST STORY has a delicious hook at the centre of its premise. Based on actual accounts of hauntings, the film is shot in the same building where these spooky goings on are said to have occurred. Shot back in 2011, the film has finally received some distribution news after being acquired by Eagle One Media. The Irish set horror focuses on Rob Walker (Robert Render), a handyman who is asked to block up all windows and doors to a haunted mansion. Needless to say, Rob soon finds that he isn’t alone and someone or something may be putting his life in danger.

The film will be released on DVD on 5th November in the US as well as receiving a VOD release. It will then be rolled out across different international markets. Render won the award for Best Actor at the  Freak Show Horror Film Festival and the film has been the subject of much praise:

The scariest film since the Blair Witch!“- Belfast Telegraph
Scared me sh*tless! Genuinely terrifying entertainment.” Mike Leeder,
Impact Magazine
Shreds the nerves!” – James Gracey, Behind The Couch

You can view the trailer below. The low-budget will obviously be a turn-off for some, but in my experience that just forces horror films to be more inventive. Here’s hoping for a UK release soon.
